Description of Services Provided:
A vocational program offered through WMMHC where we employ consumers who receive services and place them into temporary employment.  We receive our jobs through the community and consumers are paid  for the work they do. The work, the expectations, and rewards are real, as are the jobs we do.  We have a different name and phone number in order we keep anonymity and never reveal our workers are mental health consumers.  Consumers can also choose to pursue permanent employment assistance through two employment specialists.  The employment specialists are advocates for consumers, again never revealing that the person receives mental health services. Employment specialists assist with job development, resume and job application assistance, on-the-job supports if necessary and to be a vocational support system after the person obtains the job.  Consumers can contact the employment specialist to discuss problems, questions and achievements.
