Adults Living with Substance Use Disorders Western Montana Mental Health Center offers programs and treatment options for adults suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs, also known as Substance Use Disorders (SUD). All SUD services use evidenced-based interventions to promote a healing recovery process for clients and their families. Connect wiht Us Today at 406-532-8400 The Journey to Recovery Begins Here Western Montana Mental Health Center treats clients struggling with substance use involving: Alcohol Benzodiazepines (alprazolam, clonazepam, lorazepam, diazepam) Heroin and prescription opioids (oxycodone, morphine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, and fentanyl) Marijuana Stimulants (cocaine, amphetamine (Adderall, Ritalin) methamphetamine) Treatment programs include an initial assessm ent, medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), residential housing, individual therapy, group therapy, and community support. Adult Treatment Services ACT (DUI) Program Assessment, Course, and Treatment (ACT) is for individuals convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Community Prevention Services Clinic sites providing substance use prevention services tailor services to fit the needs of the community served. Activities may include mentoring, leadership development, provision of substance related information, and community education services. Community prevention programs and projects are aimed at reducing the far-reaching negative consequences alcohol and other drug abuse has on the community and the quality of life of an individual and the family. Misdemeanor Dangerous Drug (MDD) Services Misdemeanor Dangerous Drug (MDD) intervention services are offered on a continual basis for individuals receiving an MDD citation. Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment protocol for individuals struggling with Opioid Use Disorder. Individuals who utilize MOIUD are three times more likely to achieve sustained recovery than those who follow more traditional approaches. Outpatient Programs The following services are offered on an outpatient basis to adults and families. Mental Health Conditions Western Montana Mental Health Center provides comprehensive treatment programs for adults, adolescents, and children with mental health conditions who live in Montana. Common conditions include depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, trauma, borderline personality, and most other disorders. Treatment programs include an in-depth assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, residential housing, jail diversion, psychiatric/medication management, and peer support services. We also specialize in integrating vocational support into the treatment process. Substance Use Western Montana Mental Health Center offers substance use treatment programs for adults, adolescents, and children living in Montana. Substance use treatment is focused on those struggling with alcohol, heroin, opiates, prescription drugs, methamphetamine, cocaine, and most other substances. Treatment programs include an initial assessment, medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), residential housing, individual therapy, group therapy, and community support. Day treatment gives people access to a variety of group and individual activities in a positive environment that encourages healthy social skills. Our goal is to provide education and support that will help people manage their mental health symptoms and gain skills and knowledge to achieve or maintain independent living. Adult Group Homes Adult group homes combine housing and services in a structured and supportive setting. Our group homes provide 24-hour support to our residents. Western Montana Mental Health Center staff are available to assist residents in building independent living skills and help them reach recovery to live successfully in the community or in Western client housing. Clinical staff is available to assist residents with reaching their recovery goals and working with other members of the treatment team to ensure success. Clients are referred to group home services by members of the treatment team or other agencies. Crisis Stabilization Facility Crisis Stabilization facilities provide short term, intensive, inpatient support for adults experiencing a life-threatening crisis. Most clients stay at the crisis facility for 3 to 7 days. During their stay clients work with their treatment team and crisis facility staff to resolve the crisis and to develop a plan for the client’s care after leaving the crisis facility. Client Housing Western Montana Mental Health Center offers a variety of housing options with Western-owned apartments and/or homes and acts as landlord to provide independent living arrangements. Residents may be supported by a case manager and community-based rehabilitation services to assist them with day-to-day living skills. Client housing helps integrate clients into the community while maintaining supportive services that meet residents’ needs as they become more independent. Jail Diversion Jail Diversion Programs provide support and treatment for individuals experiencing mental illness during pre-arrest, incarceration, and after release from county detention centers. The Jail Diversion team works collaboratively with detention center officers, local law enforcement, and other components of the criminal justice system to provide services within the county detention center and to assist in diversion from incarceration. Services provided while incarcerated can include mental health assessments, case management, therapy, peer-support services, group therapies, crisis intervention, and chemical dependency evaluations. These services reduce recidivism by connecting individuals to behavioral health services. Outpatient Therapy Outpatient therapy is offered across the life span and may include individual and/or group therapy designed to help clients address symptoms that interfere with functioning in one or more life domains such as familial, social, educational or occupational. Western Montana Mental Health Center believes that the client’s voice is central to the success of its outpatient therapy programs. The Partners for Change Outcomes Management System is an evidence-based tool that helps us work with clients to set goals, ensure an effective therapeutic relationship, and to achieve the outcomes identified by the client. Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is designed to help people with serious mental health conditions live independently in the community by providing comprehensive mental health and supportive services. Clients in PACT receive a combination of services depending on each client’s individual needs. These services include medication management, nursing support, case management, therapy, substance abuse treatment, employment and housing services, crisis intervention, and peer support. This program is for clients who need more help than is available through regular outpatient services and is offered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Psychiatric/Medication Management Services Managing mental illness is a team effort and appropriate use of medication is an important component. Our providers, who are made up of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), Physicians Assistants, and psychiatrists, with the help of their trained nursing staff, are able to assess, prescribe, and monitor clients who need medication to treat their illness while providing education to both the client and their loved ones. Vocational Services Vocational services provide adults living with severe mental illness support to attain their employment goals. Utilizing evidence-based practices, supports are based on choice and focused on assisting individuals in finding and keeping jobs that capitalize on their personal strengths and motivation. Vocational services are recovery-driven, emphasizing skill development through a multidisciplinary team approach. Job-hunting, on-the-job, and post-employment assistance is offered from resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, workplace conflict resolution, accommodation planning, work-related symptom management, and benefits management. Child MH Child & Adolescent Mental Health Treatment Services Comprehensive School and Community Treatment Comprehensive School and Community Treatment (CSCT) collaborates with public school districts to provide a school and community-based mental health program offering behavioral intervention, group, individual and family therapy to children with a qualifying mental health diagnosis. CSCT clients receive an intensive level of care which includes a comprehensive treatment plan designed to meet their mental health needs and support improved functioning within the school, family and community. Home Support Services An intensive in-home, family-focused program for children and adolescents who experience serious social, emotional and behavioral challenges. The overall goal of this program is to help parents and children learn skills to effectively manage and reduce challenging behaviors so that the child can function more effectively in the home, school and community. A Family Support Specialist consults with parents, children, and other professionals to create a customized treatment plan to fit the needs of the family, helping them learn important skills and concepts at their own pace and in their own home. Individual and Family Counseling Licensed professional counselors/social workers provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents and their families. Counseling is provided within a family systems context with specialized treatment for seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. Outpatient psychotherapy may include individual and/or group therapy operating within the continuum of care offered by Western Montana Mental Health Center and following best practice models for short term, solution focused psychotherapy based upon clear and identifiable clinical needs. Recovery Center Missoula's commemorative brick program recognizes the important accomplishments of Alumni who have achieved a year or more in recovery. The Path of Patience is located in the center's courtyard, parallel to the sidewalk. The path started with all who donated to support the center and has evolved to honor those on the path of recovery while providing messages of strength, hope, and courage to others. At the time of your one-year celebration, we are proud to gift you a brick on the Path of Patience. Your brick will be engraved with your message, your recovery/sobriety date, and your first name or not – it's totally up to you. Each brick is 4×12" and can be engraved with up to three (3) lines of fifteen (15) characters per line. To have your brick engraved, please complete the form below. Our staff will contact you and invite you to the 'Place It' gathering. This event honors all those who will be placing their brick this cycle.
